Debts, maintenance and enforcement do not automatically stop because a person is in prison. At the same time, prison rules distinguish house money, private funds and purpose-bound amounts. This creates misunderstandings.
The person concerned and relatives should not expect generic calculations. Account statements, creditor letters, maintenance titles and prison information must be sorted carefully.
